This wasn't as nasty as it looks. They did say that the winds were gusting 50 mph, but I only recorded around 24 kts (almost 28mph). We were on the dinghy rushing to get back to the boat and hunker down!
It was really awesome watching the storm surround us. About a half hour was all it took until we were surrounded by a black sky and the winds really do howl on a boat! The boat was creaking just like the movies! Anyway, we are still here in Marathon and still a few weeks from leaving. Larry is on the boat as I speak putting in the antenna for the new SSB radio.
