History

Larry and Tina's travel adventures on a 42' Catamaran.

Who Were These Pirates Before They became Caribbean Pirates?

They were the previous owners of Zeppe's Italian Water Ice In North Ogden, Utah. They built this little ice cream shop (that's not really an ice cream shop) from an old house in an urban area in 2008. Zeppe's has been open since 2009-present but These Pirates owned it from 2009-2013

Getting Mail in the Bahamas

After looking at the cost involved flying to the states and renting a car, then the hotel; it turned out to be cheaper to just have it mailed.  The mailboat comes once a week bringing food, mail, and people.  It is crazy and there really isn't a procedure on how to get your mail.  You just have to be there when it comes and hope nobody grabs your package before you do.

This lady couldn't figure out why I was holding my "book" up in the air and was shocked that it could take pictures.  She poised and asked me to take her picture and look at it.

The forklift empties all the boxes in piles and when you find your package, you pay a lady the shipping fee and off you go.

A Day at the Beach

Long Island is said to have the most beautiful beaches and we found several of them.

                                             They even have rainbows!

And Larry found another piece for his lift.

Snorkeling on the Reef

Looks like I saw a shark in this picture, but I didn't.  There was a 6 footer there, I just couldn't find him!
Met some nice people who showed us a beautiful snorkeling spot.  Saw more fish and coral than when I went diving in Hawaii!

Columbus Monument

They say Christopher Columbus landed here in October 1492.

Beach Combing

Larry is trying to make a contraption to lift the engine 6 inches and needed some 2x4's, so off to the beach we go to find some wood.  Rayne, I think we might be Dora and Diego the explorers instead of Grandma and Grandpa Pirates!
