Who Were These Pirates Before They became Caribbean Pirates?

They were the previous owners of Zeppe's Italian Water Ice In North Ogden, Utah. They built this little ice cream shop (that's not really an ice cream shop) from an old house in an urban area in 2008. Zeppe's has been open since 2009-present but These Pirates owned it from 2009-2013

Random pics

                                           Mommy and Baby Manatee

Manatees love to have their backs scratched and they love drinking fresh water.  In Florida you can get a hefty fine for doing this.  They are so friendly they want to go to people and people are usually in harbors, and dinghies are in harbors.  They get cut up by the props because they move slow.

Bahamas telephone booth in the middle of no where that doesn't work.

Parking the Car after the coke run.  Not too happy - there wasn't any coke.

The Pirate Cave

There is a cave near the resort and they actually have get togethers in it.  It is real and so are the bats on the ceiling.  There are stone seats and tables, a fireplace and a pirate.

Look in the middle of the picture just above center.  That black thing is a close up of a bat!

All the black in the picture are bats.  I couldn't get a good picture because they started to fly when I got to close.  It was creepy but not scary.  No Mom, I haven't turned into a girl...yet.

Rayne, the pirates stink bad!

Visit to Stella Maris Resort

Hey Dad, you should have waited and came to visit this resort instead of Treasure Cay.  They have activities and events everyday.  The beaches and ocean is just as beautiful.  Look below at the pics!

                                                              View from the Resort Office.

Sitting area just outside of office.

There is a reef on the windward side (Ocean side) down the coast of Long Island.  The resort is on the ocean side and the marina, where we are "parked" is on the leeward side.  Carter, do you know the difference between windward and leeward yet?

                                                              Anyone have a surfboard?

                                                            Beautiful pink sandy beaches.

This is a tidal pool.  Awesome idea!  The kids love it.  If you can't tell the waves crash into the wall and if big enough they splash over.  Where the people are standing is where the waves come into the tidal pool.

Long Island's Autobahn to International Airport (Seriously!)

There is one paved road from north to south on Long Island.  The few other roads look like this.  We had to go to Customs at the airport and fork over $300 since we came on land.  If we would have passed through, we would have not had to pay.

There is a front coming and with it brings sand flies but they are actually sand fleas and are  very  small crustaceans.  They bite like no see ums and are about the same size, but you can see these little black devils.  I don't think I have one spot on me they didn't get.  They itch like mosquito bites.

Here I am trying to capture the turquoise colored clouds.  The water is so blue and turquoise, it reflects the colors on the clouds.  Can't quite see it darnit, but it is something I have never seen or heard of!

Not sure if these are someone's goats or if they run wild here.

Storm front moving in.  Yesterday it rained off and on and today we got hit pretty hard with rain and lightning.  A little nerve racking when your the only boat around in the water with a 60 foot mast in the air.  The thunder was really loud too.  Our parts should be here on Tuesday, Wednesday we will haul her out and fix the sail drive gasket that was causing a leak in the sail drive.  Maintenance stuff.  The cruisers have a saying:  Cruising Is... fixing your boat in exotic places!
