Who Were These Pirates Before They became Caribbean Pirates?

They were the previous owners of Zeppe's Italian Water Ice In North Ogden, Utah. They built this little ice cream shop (that's not really an ice cream shop) from an old house in an urban area in 2008. Zeppe's has been open since 2009-present but These Pirates owned it from 2009-2013

Life In A Third World Country

The city center - the main drag.  Pickup trucks full of eggs go from town to town trying to make some money.  The average wage for a Dominican, I believe, is what averages to be $250 a month!  Several years ago there was a huge resort that employed at least 500 people, but when the economy in the states went south, it hurt the rest of the world too.

Walking down the street it is common to see horses, donkeys, goats, cows, dogs, etc. just roaming around.  They seem to have a huge abandoned dog issue here and they are not kind to them at all.  It's really quite sad.

                                                                      Cattle Drive!

Dominicans are very friendly and always willing to help anyone out.  They are definitely on island time around here too.  Family owned stores close down everyday from noon to 2:00 or 2:30 for siesta.
